General procedure for the synthesis of ethyl o-fluorobenzoate from o-fluoroiodobenzene and potassium 2-ethoxy-2-oxoacetate: Palladium catalyst (1 mol%) and potassium 2-ethoxy-2-oxoacetate (0.75 mmol) were added to an oven-dried Schlenk tube (10 mL). The Schlenk tube was evacuated and backfilled with argon (this process was repeated three times). Subsequently, o-fluoroiodobenzene (0.5 mmol) and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP, 1.0 mL) were added via syringe at room temperature under argon protection. After sealing the reaction vessel, it was placed in a preheated oil bath and reacted under stirring for 24 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with ethyl acetate and analyzed by gas chromatography. | [References]
