Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Synthesis]
1,3-Diphenylprop-2-yn-1-ol (CAS: 18385-81-4, 104 mg, 0.5 mmol) was added with 0.5 mL [bmim]Br and 0.5 mL TBHP (3.6 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 55 °C until the reaction was completed and the reaction progress was monitored by TLC. After completion of the reaction, the crude product was extracted with ethyl acetate (3 x 4 mL). The organic layers were combined and concentrated under reduced pressure, and the resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to afford the target product 1,3-diphenylprop-2-yn-1-one (15b) as a yellow oil. | [References]
