Steps:
1 Dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide as a single chain type surfactant was synthesized by the following method.
In other words, 1-bromo dodecane (manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.) 10.0g was dissolved in acetonitrile, & heated to 80 , and thereto trimethyl amine gas (produced by Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc.) was blown in excess. After the reaction, the solvent was distilled off, washed with hexane and ethyl acetate. After washing, solid-liquid separated by centrifugation, and by repeating recrystallization to obtain dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide 10.0g (80% yield). The Structure was confirmed by 1 H-NMR, elemental analysis.
