2.3 Methyl 5-amino-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxylate
Methyl 5-nitro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxylate 2c (1.5g, 6.8mmol) was suspended in 50mL of methanol, 10% palladium/carbon (150mg) was added, the mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature under hydrogen atmosphere.
The mixture was filtered through diatomite, and washed with 5mL of methanol, the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain methyl 5-amino-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxylate 2d (1.015g, brown oily liquid), yield: 78%.
