In a 100 mL round-bottomedflask compound 2a (1 g) was heated with POCl3 (10 mL) on a boilingwater bath for 5 h. The cooled reaction mixture was poured into ice/cold water, and then extracted with diethyl ether. Evaporation of diethylether under vacuum gave a solid product that was recrystallised to givecompound 6: Yellow crystals; yield 81%;
