The PPP1CA antibody targets the catalytic subunit alpha isoform of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1α), a serine/threonine phosphatase critical for regulating diverse cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, metabolism, and signal transduction. PP1 is a holoenzyme composed of a catalytic subunit (e.g., PPP1CA) and regulatory subunits that determine substrate specificity and subcellular localization.
