The SAMD3 (Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-containing protein 3) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the SAMD3 protein, a member of the SAM domain family. SAM domains are evolutionarily conserved protein motifs that mediate protein-protein or protein-RNA interactions, playing roles in diverse cellular processes, including transcriptional regulation, signal transduction, and chromatin remodeling. SAMD3. though less characterized than other SAM family members (e.g., SAMD1. SAMD4), is implicated in pathways related to cell differentiation, immune response, and possibly tumorigenesis. Its expression has been observed in various tissues, with studies suggesting involvement in TGF-β/BMP signaling and inflammatory responses.

SAMD3 antibodies are typically generated in animal hosts (e.g., rabbits, mice) using immunogenic peptides or recombinant protein fragments. These antibodies enable researchers to investigate SAMD3's expression patterns, subcellular localization (e.g., cytoplasmic or nuclear), and interactions via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), or immunoprecipitation (IP).
