NDUFAF2 (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex assembly factor 2) is a mitochondrial protein critical for the assembly and stability of mitochondrial complex I, a key component of the electron transport chain (ETC) responsible for ATP production. This protein, also known as human complex I intermediate-associated protein 30 (hCIA30), facilitates the proper maturation of complex I subunits and coordinates their integration into the functional holoenzyme.
