The protein has a calculated MW of 68.2 kDa. The protein migrates as 86-106 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

酪氨酸蛋白激酶受體TYRO3也稱為酪氨酸蛋白激酶BYK、DTK、RSE、SKY、TIF，屬于蛋白激酶超家族、Tyr蛋白激酶家族和AXL/UFO亞家族。TYRO3調節(jié)許多生理過程，包括細胞存活、遷移和分化。TYRO3激活AKT存活途徑，包括NF-kappa-B的核轉位和NF-kappa-B調節(jié)基因轉錄的上調。TYRO3（通過N端）與細胞外配體TULP1和GAS6相互作用。通過相似性以及與PIK3R1的相互作用，這種相互作用增加了PI3激酶活性。
