Sulfite Test Kit
Background of Development
Sources of Sulfite
Sulfite in water mainly comes from a variety of waste water and acid rain.
Hazards of Sulfite
Too much Sulfite can reduce the pH of water, and thus accelerates the corrosion of metal equipment. Sulfite in water also is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Because of the reductive, the dissolved oxygen in water is depleted rapidly, causing deterioration of water quality. The solution containing of 0.5% ~ 1% sulfur dioxide will erode the container. In addition sulfite ion can coagulate the blood to form hemoglobin and finally to make the nervous system paralysis. Therefore, a timely determination of sulfite content in water is essential to know of water quality.
Principle:
The method equals to hydrochloric pararosaniline method(GB5009.34-2003). Sulfite reacts with formaldehyde and hydrochloric pararosaniline to form a purple complex after being absorbed by mercury-free regent and the colorimetric quantification can be done.
The features of the product:
Quick and easy
Operating in accordance with the instructions, users can complete the sulfite test independently without specialized training. 2~3 minutes is enough to complete the analysis of one sample.
Accurate and reliable
Determination results by this method are in accordance with the results by standard method. It can be used as an alternative method to standard method.
The range of the determination: 0~15μg(as SO2), if the concentrations is out of this range, please repeat the operation after appropriate dilution of the sample.
Quantitative packing
The kit can be used for 50 times. It is small, light and easy to carry.
Application areas
The kit can be used in analysis of sulfite in fishery water, food sample and etc.
