以三苯基甲醇和D-半胱氨酸為原料合成S-三苯甲基-L-半胱氨酸的一般步驟：將D-半胱氨酸（242.30 mg，2.0 mmol）置于單頸燒瓶中，加入三氟乙酸（TFA，4 mL），于室溫下攪拌。隨后加入三苯基甲醇（520.68 mg，2.0 mmol），繼續(xù)在室溫下攪拌反應2小時。反應完成后，將反應混合物冷卻至0℃，加入無水乙醚（30 mL），在攪拌下緩慢滴加4 N NaOH水溶液調節(jié)pH至4-5。接著，加入10%飽和乙酸鈉水溶液，繼續(xù)攪拌1小時，使pH穩(wěn)定在5-6。反應混合物經過濾，濾餅用無水乙醚（30 mL×2）洗滌，得到白色粉末狀產物S-三苯甲基-L-半胱氨酸（566.4 mg，收率：77.90%）。
