(2) N-Boc-1-methylcyclopropylamine (4.66 g) obtained in step (1) was dissolved in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL), followed by addition of a 4N hydrochloric acid solution of dioxane (10 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. Upon completion of the reaction, diisopropyl ether was added to the mixture and the precipitated crystals were collected by filtration to afford 1-methylcyclopropanamine hydrochloride (2.69 g, yield: 92%) as a colorless solid.
