The general procedure for the synthesis of 3-acetyloxazolidin-2-one from the compound (CAS:60759-48-0) is as follows: 6.80 g of 3-acetyl-5-chloro-oxazolidin-2-one was placed in a Kugelrohr distillation apparatus and distilled under reduced pressure conditions (50 mbar) and a temperature of 180°C. The product (3.80 g) was obtained from a Kugelrohr distillation apparatus. The final product 3-acetyloxazolidin-2-one (3.80 g) was obtained with a molecular weight of 127.1 g/mol (C5H5NO3). | [References]
