Under stirring conditions, 4 g (2.4 mL) of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride was slowly added dropwise to 15 mL of aniline. After the dropwise addition was completed, the reaction mixture was continued to be stirred for 30 minutes. Upon completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was acidified with 10% hydrochloric acid solution, followed by filtration to collect the precipitate precipitated. The precipitate was washed several times with water, dried and purified by sublimation. Finally 2.9 g (90% yield) of the target compound 1,1,1 -trifluoro-N-phenylmethanesulfonamide was obtained under vacuum as a white powder (19F NMR δF -75.30 ppm). | [References]
