O,O-bis(methylphenyl) hydrogen dithiophosphate, used as a flotation agent for sulfidic ores. The commercial product is not usually a pure substance, being the reaction product of a mixture of phenol, cresols, and xylenols with phosphorus pentasulfide. Both the free acid and an aqueous solution of the ammonium salt are commercial products.
