Step E: A solution of benzyl 3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-3-methylpyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (2.00 g, 5.98 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (0.32 g, 0.30 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) was reacted under stirring conditions for 1 hour in a hydrogen atmosphere. Upon completion of the reaction, the catalyst was removed by filtration and washed with methanol. The filtrate was concentrated to afford tert-butyl (3-methylpyrrolidin-3-yl)carbamate (1.15 g, 96% yield) in solid form. | [References]
